Prada SS2011 Video Campaign

Just saw the Prada video campaign and behind the scenes feature. So bright and colorful and HAPPY! It makes me want to wear happy stripes for the summer. But I have to say, I enjoyed the womens show much better than the mens. The mens show looked too much like it consisted of really ugly hospital scrubs. For case in point, look at picture below. I mean, CAMMON!



But you know what, I actually kinda liked the platform brogues. Maybe it's just my desire to be taller. Thoughts?

Astro-girls

I've finally had some time to do some illustrations this weekend and this is what I came up with. This Courrèges/Cardin inspired collection by Marc Jacobs has always been a fave of mine and I thought it was time do something with it.

Other things I did with my extra time was watch the "Picture Me" doc by Sara ZIff. It was really interesting just to see the kinds of things models go through. We all think that they're the luckiest girls to be featured in such glamorous glossies but in many ways, a models life can be very empty. If you're interested, here's a link for the movie.

TOM FORD S/S 2011

Finally a video of the show have finally surfaced and I absolutely love it! I think the sexiness that Tom Ford is known for is still there but I feel it's much more sensual now and maybe not so overt. The stand out pieces for me were all the fringe frocks and sequined dresses. I also love that draped white trench on Anja. Very reminiscent of one of the coats from my favourite YSL collection of his from Fall 2003.



And how amazing was Beyonce in the show? An absolute GODDESS!
