Kate and Laura Mulleavy mentioned that they were inspired by the inside of C3PO for this collection. I thought it would be cute if maybe C3PO took a girl out for a date wearing Rodarte. But then I remembered, isn't he gay? Hence his boredom with the girl in this illustration. He's probably talking to R2D2 on the phone.

Robots do not have gender, Derek, and therefore cannot be gay. But robots probably would prefer robo-robo relations sooo that is why he is bored with the girl.
